Vintage EV Carts Shine in 4th of July Parade

  • Posted on: July 6, 2025

Today we feel really excited and happy to share some great news with you. We made history! Our company, DC Monuments Tour, was the only tour company invited to join the 4th of July Parade this year in Washington, DC.

This is a big moment for us, and honestly, for the whole city too. Our vintage electric cars rolled down Constitution Avenue, surrounded by music, colour, joy, and thousands of people waving flags. It was a day full of pride and celebration.

Why This Parade Matters So Much

If you’ve ever been to Washington, DC on the 4th of July, you know it’s not just another public holiday. It’s the heart of American history and celebration.

Every year, the 4th of July Parade brings together marching bands, military groups, school children, cultural dancers, and government officials. The whole city comes alive with red, white, and blue. It’s a time when people from all over the country visit DC to see the monuments, honour the past, and enjoy the fireworks.

And this year, in the middle of all that, our company stood out. While there were many big names and well-known organisations at the event, we were the only private tour company invited. That says a lot about the trust and respect we’ve earned over time.

Our Vintage Carts Stole the Show

We’re known for our eco-friendly electric vintage carts. These aren’t just any ordinary vehicles. They combine the look and feel of classic cars with the comfort and quiet of modern technology.

At the parade, our carts were decorated with flags and patriotic colours. They were clean, shiny, and ready to impress. As we drove past cheering crowds, people smiled, clapped, and took photos. Many came up to us after the parade asking how they could book a ride.

Kids pointed and waved. Tourists looked surprised and curious. Locals cheered us on. It felt like a movie scene, and we were right there in the middle of it all.

What This Means for Us

Being the only tour company invited to the 4th of July Parade is not something that happens by chance. It’s the result of hard work, great service, and a strong connection with the local community.

We’ve always believed that small-group tours in clean, electric vehicles are the future. Our tours are safe, quiet, personal, and respectful of both the environment and the monuments we visit. That’s why people choose us again and again.

This moment showed that we’re not just a tour company. We’re part of the story that makes Washington, DC special.

How It All Happened

Our team got to the staging area early in the morning. We wanted everything to be perfect. The cars were checked, charged, and polished. Flags were placed neatly. The drivers reviewed the parade route one more time.

And then, right at 11:45 AM, we rolled out onto Constitution Avenue. The sun was out. The air was warm. And the crowd was loud.

For the next two hours, we slowly made our way through the city. There were bands playing, people dancing, and camera crews filming. But wherever we went, our carts stood out. People loved seeing something different, something classic yet fresh.

What People Said

After the parade, we received so many kind words.

Some said our carts were their favourite part of the day. Others told us they had never seen anything like it. A few even asked if we could do weddings and birthday rides — and the answer is yes, we do that too!

Many families who watched the parade said they were booking a tour right after the event. They didn’t want to miss out on the chance to ride in one of those vintage beauties.

A Bit About Our Tours

If you haven’t taken a ride with us yet, here’s what we offer.

Our tours cover all the famous monuments in DC, including the Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, White House, and more. You can choose from daytime or night-time rides.

We also offer private tours for small groups. It’s perfect for couples, families, or even small work teams who want to experience DC in a calm and fun way.

The best part? Our carts are fully electric, so there’s no noise, no pollution, and no stress.

Why People Love Our Rides

Here’s what makes our tours different:

  • Personal service: We don’t rush. We take time to show you each monument and share fun facts.
  • Comfort: Our carts are open-air but covered, so you stay cool and protected.
  • Small groups: No big buses or noisy crowds. Just you and the people you’re with.
  • Eco-friendly: We care about the city and the planet. That’s why we only use electric vehicles.
  • Flexible: You can book online, pick your time, and even cancel up to 24 hours in advance if plans change.

We believe in doing things the right way. And the people of DC seem to agree.

Being Part of History

When we first started this company, we knew we wanted to do more than just give rides. We wanted to create memories. We wanted to be part of something bigger.

This parade was that moment.

We were part of a national event that celebrated freedom, history, and the future. We were seen by thousands of people live, and many more online. Social media posts, news clips, and photos are still going around today.

And in every single one, our little vintage carts are there — shining bright, waving flags, and making people smile.

What Comes Next

We’re not stopping here. This is just the beginning.

Thanks to the attention from the parade, we’re already planning new routes, special packages, and themed tours. We’re also working on more community events and might even start offering seasonal tours around Christmas and New Year.

There’s so much more to come, and we want you to be part of it.

A Thank You From Us

We couldn’t have done any of this without our amazing team. The drivers, the guides, the booking staff — every single person gave their best to make this moment special.

And of course, we want to thank all of you — our customers, supporters, and the DC community. Whether you’ve taken a tour before or you’re just learning about us now, we’re grateful for your love and support.

This is your victory too.
